Domestic travel documentation requirements
For domestic flights (including to Puerto Rico), all travelers under 18 years of age at the time of travel do not need to present an ID. Travelers 18 and older will need an acceptable form of identification at the TSA checkpoint. If you’re unable to obtain a REAL ID, you can travel with an alternate form of documentation.
Real ID
Starting May 7, 2025, travelers 18 years of age and older will need a government-issued REAL ID for air travel in all U.S. states, including to Puerto Rico. If you are unable to obtain a REAL ID, you can travel with an alternate form of documentation.
Canadian requirements
All travelers, regardless of age, are required to carry a valid passport for traveling to Canada. If you are a permanent resident of the United States, you must carry both a passport and proof of status in the U.S.
Travelers under the age of 18 must also present a Canadian Entry Authorization Form at customs. A parent or guardian must complete this form, and the traveler must bring it on tour (please do not send it to us!).
